Howdy, I’m Jacob. I was born and raised just outside New York City, where my passion for technology and problem-solving began at a very early age – by seven, I was already exploring full-stack development. In my early teens, I founded a small web hosting company, which opened the door to a part-time consulting role at fifteen. After completing high school at sixteen as a top student, I enrolled in university, working full time and earning a Computer Science degree by eighteen.
During those formative years, I had the opportunity to collaborate remotely with Romanian developers on a variety of projects. This experience ultimately inspired me to relocate to Romania just three months after my eighteenth birthday. My goal was to integrate more directly with the local workforce, avoid the limitations of a remote-first approach, and immerse myself in the culture.
Today, my company focuses on broader investment and research endeavors -ranging from strategic market analysis to emerging tech startups – while selectively offering fractional executive services to a curated group of clients.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I maintain an active interest in politics – dating back to my time in the United States – where I was involved enough that you might still uncover some old news clippings. Another personal passion of mine is tennis, which provides an engaging way to stay active and clear my mind beyond the office. I’m also among the relatively few individuals in Romania who hold a Permis Port Arma (concealed carry permit) – and you can bet I don’t leave the house without a pistol on my hip.
My work ethos is defined by a strong focus on measurable outcomes and a commitment to efficient problem-solving. I value data-driven decision-making and strive to maintain a harmonious relationship between technical and managerial teams. This dual perspective has proven invaluable for forging strong connections across cultures and industries, helping me navigate challenges with resilience and composure.
